I'm a high school sophomore, and this summer my parents and I have decided that I'm going to go to a summer school to get college credit for a class about economics. We also decided that I'm going to a complete immersion spanish language camp for advanced spanish speakers because it is worth college credit. Each of these camps is two weeks long, and after the language camp, I am going directly to another camp as a student leader. I will be leading at this Christian camp for three weeks in order to get volunteer hours for the IB diploma program at our school. Plus it looks good on college applications. And in my time that I'm not at one of these camps (Im at camp for seven total weeks, which only leaves four weeks at home) I am umpiring for money and for job experience BECAUSE IT LOOKS GOOD ON A COLLEGE APPLICATION. I didn't want to do this much stuff during my summer, but colleges come before my happiness in my house. Do you think its bad that I'm doing all of these things, and primarily focusing on college credit, or is this normal for someone who is striving to be great? Also, I have a gf and I'm gonna miss her a lot and I'm afraid that me being gone will ruin our relationship.

What is cheaper to run the hot water through the timer or the immersion switch?

We have a hot water timer which also controls the central heating. The water comes on three times a day and for an hour at each interval which is enough for our household. Recently a friend said it would be cheaper to run the hot water off the immersion switch as once it reaches temperture it cuts out and you can leave it on all day and it will use less energy. Is this true that it woulk be cheaper to run the immersion switch constantly or would it work out better on the wallet if we stuck to our three times a day timed water?

Hi i want to increase my social skills at school. i am a guy in gr8. I am pretty sociable at school, and a good reputation. I have a lot of guy friends at school, although im kinda shy to talk to girls. Im not shy to talk to girls in my class, but the girls that are not in my class, or perhaps only in one of my glasses, i would be a little bit shy too talk to. I am kinda like a nerd at school, i get good marks, but i try to act cool and stuff. Mostly girls just ask me for homework help, nothing else, and it kinda ticks me off cause i want to talk to them, not talk about homework. Well i really like this girl at school, shes pretty and i heard she is really nice. She is not in any of my classes, nor any of her friends. She will never be in any of my classes cause she is in french immersion, and i dont do french french immersion. So im to shy to talk to her by the lockers and stuff. What do i say? i don't want to talk about things an adult would talk about, you know teenage stuff. i dont want to make it awk. What do i do? I tried talking to her like once, but we didn't talk more than 16 seconds. Like i said i can talk to girls in my class, but how do i talk to girls that are not in my class, and make sure they don't think im a nerd and stuff? I've looked at the GG Transit and Ferry website and there is nothing specific about a monthly pass. Does this mean it doesn't exist? We are looking at moving to Marin County and would like an idea of how much the ferry would cost us per month if we will be commuting to downtown SF. Is Studying abroad a good idea?

I've been thinking of studying abroad for a month in the summer of 2012. I"d be in an immersion program where I'd be living with a host family for a month in France. Does she still have a crush on me?

So we met each other in grade 1, but didnt really talk to each other a lot until grade 4. When we were in grade 4, we became best friends, and I had a HUGE crush on her. The next year, I found out that she had a crush on me too, but since it was in grade 5, it would have been weird dating somebody, so I never really talked to her about it. When we finnished Grade 5, I decided i was going to talk to her about it, but then she switched schools, and i never saw her for 3 years. Now were both 15 and in 9th Grade, and shes one of my best friends now. Shes in french immersion, so we dont have a lot of classes together, but we have 2nd period together. Usually when i see her, she'll go out of her way to say talk to me, and she' gets kind of excited when she sees me. We always sit next to each other in class and on the bus. We usually have lunch with her friends, and we talk to each other a lot too. Whenever one of us has candy or food, we'll always share with each other. Whenever I make a joke, shes always the first one to laugh. We're pretty busy, so we dont hang out after school alot, but im going to try to make time for that. We like the same music, tv shoes, movies, food and things like that, and we have the same opinions on almost everything. If you couldnt tell, I'm in love with her (again) but i dont want to ruin our friendship and make things akward. So i wanna know if you think she feels the same way
